Original Elska Print: "AVANT QUE L’OMBRE…"

This portrait is of Mert E, a guy photographed in Istanbul, Turkey, but not for our sixth edition, ‘Elska Istanbul', although he was in that issue. In one of those very rare coincidences, I found myself passing through Istanbul on a flight layover and decided to meet Mert again for a drink. But then while we were together, we decided to try doing an impromptu second shoot, the results of which went into our ‘Elska Ekstra Casablanca’ e-zine. Here's the final scene taken with him, before the shadow… named after the Mylène Farmer song that was playing over and over in my head whilst I did this shoot.
