About Elska Guadalajara (Mexico):
Elska Guadalajara is our twenty-fourth issue and our second to be shot in Latin America, following our Elska Bogotá series. Aside from sharing a continent and language, you'll also find that the men are some of the most open, romantic, and unreserved we've met anywhere. When Elska Bogotá came out, it became notable as our most naked issue ever, but this one is even more naked! So yes, the cover is absolutely appropriate!
But why Guadalajara? If you're looking at this wondering why our first Mexican issue was made here and not in Mexico City, then you only need to meet a Tapatio man who'll tell you quickly how his city of Guadalajara is the true gay capital of the country. It's this pride that convinced us to come here in the first place and what made us fall in love with the city.
Inside this issue you'll get to know a bunch of local guys who we met on our trip, presented through honest photography and intimate storytelling. Some of the men you'll meet in Elska Guadalajara include:
Daniel R, who talks about how he was able to come out of his shell, with a bit of blind bravery and a bit of trying to impress a crush;
Alejandro G, who opens up about the pain of now being alone in a city whose every corner reminds him of his love, and waits for the day that they can be reunited;
Iván D, who reflects on meeting a straight man who really touched his heart, showing the value of our hetero allies who can be loved and not only feared;
Andrés A, who divulges the intimate details of a hook-up with a guy he met at the gym who he thought was out of his league, imparting a new confidence and convincing him to take more chances.
Features images of / stories from: Tom P, Daniel R, Iván D, Alejandro G, Luis V, Teo C, Alejandro S, Andrés A; plus our reader Q&A featuring Troy Tsai.

We also recommend ordering our companion zine, Elska Ekstra Guadalajara, available separately, for bonus outtakes, behind the scenes tales, and one extra Tapatio man called Gustavo +.
